The Ethereum Foundation Protocol cluster published a unified tier list for Hegotá. According to the source post, the cluster reviewed 62 EIPs proposed for inclusion, assigned each a tier and added a short note explaining the grade. It is the first time the cluster has presented one combined view rather than separate opinions from individual teams.
The list is useful as a snapshot of technical prioritization, but it should not be treated as the final contents of a future upgrade. An EIP can be attractive in principle while still needing specification work, implementation, testing, interaction analysis with other changes or scheduling agreement. A tier therefore reflects the cluster’s current assessment rather than an automatic inclusion decision.
For client developers, a unified view makes planning easier by showing which proposals have stronger support and where open questions remain. For node operators and users, it gives an early indication of which parts of the protocol may receive more engineering attention during the Hegotá cycle.
Market interpretation should remain separate from protocol development. A tier list does not change Ethereum parameters by itself; meaningful network effects arrive only after specific changes complete specification, implementation, test-network validation and the formal activation process.
