The Solana Foundation announced the launch of MoneyGram Ramps on Solana. The integration gives developers a single API for MoneyGram's global fiat on-ramp and off-ramp infrastructure. According to the official announcement, cash deposits are available in more than 25 countries and withdrawals in more than 170 countries and territories. Ramps is integrated into the payments module of the Solana Developer Platform.
For builders, the practical change is access to cash-to-crypto and crypto-to-cash flows without constructing a separate banking stack. MoneyGram provides API credentials, sandbox access, documentation and SDKs, while the Solana announcement says no additional banking integrations are required for applications to reach MoneyGram's physical and digital network.
The described use cases include remittances and cross-border payouts, payroll for distributed or gig workers, and aid distribution where traditional banking access is inconsistent. Rift is identified as the first Solana wallet to integrate Ramps. MoneyGram also has an existing role in the ecosystem as an infrastructure partner and active validator.
This is a payments infrastructure expansion rather than a Solana consensus or protocol upgrade. Orenix Radar focuses on the verified geographic coverage, single-API integration and Solana Developer Platform context. The launch is recorded as an adoption event, not as a price forecast or investment recommendation for SOL.
