Revolut starts rolling out EURR, a euro-backed stablecoin on Polygon and Ethereum

Revolut started a phased rollout of EURR, its first stablecoin, for a group of customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal. The company plans to expand availability across the rest of the European Economic Area later in 2026. EURR launches on two networks from the start: Polygon and Ethereum.

EURR is denominated in euros and designed to maintain a value of €1.00, with redemption at par through its regulated issuer under the MiCA framework. Customers can hold the token, use it through the Revolut app and Revolut X, and move it to external wallets as liquidity becomes available.

For Revolut’s European users, the product addresses a practical currency mismatch. Most stablecoin supply remains dollar-denominated, meaning euro users often take on dollar exposure simply to hold value on-chain. A euro-native token removes that step and uses the regulatory path created by MiCA.

Polygon is not a new network for Revolut. Customers already move USDC and USDT through Polygon, trade and stake POL and use bank-account on-ramps. Polygon says that integration had crossed $1.2 billion by March 2026. The current EURR launch remains a limited phased rollout rather than full EEA availability.
