Strategy spends $139.3 million on STRC buybacks while Bitcoin holdings stay flat

Strategy spent $139.3 million repurchasing STRC preferred shares in the week through September 13, according to Decrypt's report on an 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company bought back 1,420,467 STRC shares and funded the purchases from its cash reserve. The amount was below the $176.3 million spent on repurchases in the prior week after the company expanded the relevant authorization.

During the same period, Strategy bought and sold no Bitcoin. Its corporate Bitcoin holdings remained at 845,050 BTC for a second consecutive week. The figures cited in the report put the aggregate acquisition cost at about $63.73 billion and the average purchase price at roughly $75,412 per BTC including fees.

The filing also showed no repurchases of STRF, STRK or STRD preferred shares and no buybacks of MSTR common stock. About $1.05 billion remains available under the $2 billion digital credit securities repurchase program, while a separate MSTR authorization still has $1 billion of capacity available.

The week's activity therefore reflects a change in how available liquidity was used rather than a change in the reported Bitcoin position. It provides a snapshot of treasury allocation for one reporting period, but it does not establish what Strategy will do with future Bitcoin purchases or indicate a direction for the broader BTC market.
