The Ethereum Foundation has published its Ecosystem Support Program allocation update for the second quarter of 2026. The Foundation reports total awards of $5,502,930.20 across a broad set of projects covering protocol development, security, cryptography, client software, privacy, developer tooling, research and ecosystem-building programs.
A substantial share of the list targets resilience in Ethereum's core infrastructure. Supported work includes client development for projects such as Lodestar, Lighthouse and Geth, execution- and consensus-layer security research ahead of Glamsterdam, and systems that compare protocol specifications with actual client implementations. Formal verification is also prominent, with Lean 4 appearing in work on compilers, cryptographic primitives, zkVMs and protocol properties.
Zero-knowledge proving and proof infrastructure form another major theme. Several efforts are moving L1 block proving toward on-premise multi-GPU deployments while producing open operational guidance for future provers. Other allocations cover private information retrieval, privacy-oriented data access, post-quantum research, ZK compiler tooling and AI-assisted security analysis for Ethereum clients and smart-contract ecosystems.
The quarterly list shows that the support program is spread across foundational engineering, research, security, tooling and community development rather than a single product category. The announcement is a record of which technical and ecosystem efforts received support during the quarter; it does not make a claim about the future market value of ETH or imply a trading outlook.
