Hiero Ledger released consensus-node v0.76.1 as a small maintenance update. The official notes contain two bug-fix areas plus one operational change: the Solo dependency moves to v0.79.1, the maximum message size for AsyncInputStream is increased, and TSS is disabled in this release line.
The AsyncInputStream change matters to peer and internal message processing because an undersized bound can reject an otherwise valid larger message. Raising the limit aligns the stream with current runtime payload requirements. The notes do not describe this as a new consensus algorithm or a ledger-semantic change; it is a focused node-level correction.
Disabling TSS should likewise be read within the scope of this software branch. A component being disabled in one release does not change HBAR supply, staking policy or the end-user transaction format by itself. Operators should follow the target network software matrix and upgrade guidance rather than extrapolating one changelog entry into a network-wide architecture claim.
For HBAR, this is infrastructure maintenance. Useful post-upgrade checks include node startup stability, peer and message handling, and compatibility with Solo orchestration, especially in environments where the prior AsyncInputStream bound could become a bottleneck.
