TON Core released v2026.07 as a maintenance update focused on network performance and observability. The main change concerns QUIC connections, with the release notes reporting improved performance for that transport path used by node networking.
Public broadcasts are also improved in the same release. Because those broadcasts distribute data across the network, the change is part of the underlying node stack rather than a wallet or application feature. Separate QUIC metrics were added as well, giving operators more direct visibility into connection behavior.
The release includes various stability fixes. Its notes do not announce a new global version or a separate consensus migration, so v2026.07 is best treated as an operational node-software update rather than a standalone hard-fork event.
The team also credits contributions from bug-bounty hunters alongside the core developers. For operators, the practical effect is an updated QUIC and broadcast path with additional telemetry, making post-upgrade checks of latency, peer stability and network metrics especially relevant.
