TON Core v2026.08 adds Simplex collators and improves node observability

TON Core v2026.08 adds collators to the Simplex protocol so block generation can be offloaded to specialized nodes, improves node metrics and includes stability fixes. The release is stable-tagged, while actual network impact still depends on operator rollout.

TON Core v2026.08 adds Simplex collators and improves node observability

TON Core released v2026.08 as a stable software release. The official notes list three main items: collators are added to the Simplex protocol, node metrics are improved, and the build includes a set of stability fixes. The project also credits multiple bug-bounty researchers whose work contributed to the update.

The collator path allows block generation to be offloaded to specialized nodes. Architecturally, that can separate resource-intensive block construction from validator duties while keeping verification and consensus responsibilities at the appropriate protocol layer. The presence of collators does not mean an arbitrary external node gains block-finalization authority; it is a specialized role within the Simplex design.

Improved metrics are directly useful for production operations because validator and infrastructure teams gain better observability for health, performance and incident diagnosis. The short release notes do not enumerate every stability fix, so the responsible description is a general maintenance bundle rather than attaching specific security claims without a separate advisory.

For TON, this is node and protocol software maintenance rather than a change to wallets, Jettons or token economics. The real network effect depends on operator deployment and on which Simplex components are active in the relevant network configuration.
