TRON wallet-cli 4.12.0 is a non-mandatory upgrade that significantly expands the TypeScript CLI. It adds chain-governance commands: proposal listing and inspection are open reads, while proposal creation, approval and deletion require a registered witness. Witness create, update and brokerage operations are included for super-representative management.
TRC10 issuance and the protocol-level exchange now have first-class commands. The CLI can issue and update TRC10 assets, participate in issuance, handle the related freeze and unfreeze flows and operate the on-chain exchange. Large `int64` values are read losslessly as decimal strings instead of being rounded by JavaScript.
The release also introduces Web3 v3 keystore import and export with an audit log of exports. File structure is validated before passwords are requested, while password entry remains hidden-TTY-only. A shared transaction pipeline exposes `--dry-run`, `--build-only`, `--sign-only`, permission ID and multi-signature behavior across write operations.
The TypeScript CLI can now ship as a standalone executable without a Node.js installation. CI builds native binaries for supported Linux, macOS and Windows architectures. The release notes state that the TypeScript CLI now covers the same TRON feature surface as the Java REPL, with the main difference being how users drive it.
