Chainlink v2.62.0 updates the CCIP dependency and preserves verifiable container artifacts

Chainlink v2.62.0 is a small node release: chainlink-ccip is bumped to latest main, and the notes publish Docker/ECR image digests plus cosign verification commands. It is an operational software update rather than a new protocol launch.

Chainlink v2.62.0 updates the CCIP dependency and preserves verifiable container artifacts

SmartContractKit released Chainlink node v2.62.0. The notes describe a minor and patch-level release: it starts the next version line and bumps `chainlink-ccip` to latest main. That scope matters because this is node software maintenance rather than the launch of a separate Chainlink network or a new token feature.

For operators, the supply-chain section is particularly useful. The project publishes container images through DockerHub and public ECR, provides a SHA-256 digest and documents `cosign verify` commands using the GitHub Actions OIDC issuer and repository identity. Deployment pipelines can therefore verify the signature of the exact image artifact instead of trusting a mutable version tag alone.

This approach can reduce container-supply-chain risk when operators actually pin the digest and verify signatures before rollout. Standard post-upgrade checks are still required, including node startup, chain connectivity, job health and CCIP-related workloads where those components are enabled.

For LINK, the release belongs to the oracle and node infrastructure layer. Its importance should be evaluated from operator adoption and the concrete changeset rather than treating the version number itself as a market catalyst.
