Intersect announces election for two board seats supporting the Cardano ecosystem

Intersect announced a new board-election cycle for September 2026. Four of the organization’s seven board seats are filled through membership elections, giving elected directors a majority of the board. Two seats are open in this cycle as the current terms of two directors come to an end.

The elected candidates will serve two-year terms. Board responsibilities extend beyond representing members: directors collectively oversee Intersect’s strategic direction, financial sustainability, risk management and accountability. They are expected to exercise independent judgment while acting in the interests of Intersect and its mission to support the Cardano ecosystem.

Applicants must have been Intersect members for at least 180 days, remain in good standing, complete the required identity-verification process and previously serve at least one term as a voting member of an Intersect committee or on the board. Voters also need at least 180 days of membership, good standing and completed KYC.

Applications open on August 31 at 12:00 UTC and close on September 11. Voting runs from September 14 through September 25, with results scheduled for September 28. The process gives Intersect members a direct role in selecting the people responsible for the organization’s governance and long-term direction.
